What Works Character & Sports Healthy Outcomes Become an UMSL Student Affiliate
Good character education is good education. Effective character education enhances the academic goals of schools: good character education promotes learning, and we need to take character education as seriously as we take academic education.

Over the last decade, prevention science has generated mounting evidence that character and citizenship education combined with media literacy can help protect youth from the onset of multiple risky behaviors including smoking and obesity. 

Our latest projects...

CCC will award annually up to $500.00 per applicant, for a limited number of applicants, financial assistance to UMSL Student Affiliates of the Center for Character and Citizenship.
