Congratulations to Scott County Central on winning the best in state at this year's Project Citizen showcase in Jefferson City.

On Monday, March 3, three seventh grade girls from Scott County Central presented their project on raising the tobacco tax in Missouri. They received an award deemed "superior" and had the highest scores of any other school competing in the event. Their project and portfolio will be sent to Washington D.C. for competition in the national event. Scott County Central has been one of Youth Empowerment in Action's hardest working schools and have been a part of both the Healthy and Active program and the Smoke-Free Missouri program. Congratulations to Scott County Central!
