About Us: Scholars

The Center for Character and Citizenship is envisioned as a meeting and working place for scholars and students interested in topics of relevance to the Center's mission. Toward that end, scholars with expertise and interests of relevance to the Center's work are invited to join an advisory group. The group began as an Advisory Board but was soon renamed the "Community of Scholars" (COS) to reflect the true purpose and envisioned workings of the group; i.e., as a collaborative group of scholars working together as a scholarly community to further the mission of the Center. The COS meets at least twice a year for scholarly discussions, brainstorming, strategic planning, and networking. They also meet virtually to advise the CCC on matters of relevance to them.
